RC Helicopter carrying case
The biggest challenge with the production of the RC Helicopter case was that the customer arrived without digital drawings or plans, and the manufacturer did not provide the model designs, so a contour geometry needed to be created for a 3D object.
Our colleagues designed a vector cad design at first based on the model, using photos and digital measurements, taking into account the perspectives as well as accessories (spare battery, remote control, spare parts). The design process itself took nearly 3 days, but finally on this basis we could start planning the mill pattern.
The final milling pattern has been designed based on the plastic crate supplied by the customer. After reviewing the 3D plans, the production began with the cutting of the special tool foam.
